Rugby has played a huge role in Tradeview’s phenomenal success. Many of our staff play or coach rugby, and we recognize the positive influence the sport has had in their lives. OLD BLUE
The Old Blue is over 40 years old, established in the fall of 1963, by Columbia University Alumni to play winning rugby at the highest level possible. Old Blue is made up of amateur players, coaches and administrators with a professional attitude and ethos.
NORTH EAST ACADEMY
The Northeast 7s Academy – with training squads in New York City, Boston, and Buffalo – is a National Development Academy that has been sanctioned by USA Rugby as the official Academy (Men & Women) in the Northeast of America and as a designated pathway to the USA Eagles National Team selection. The purpose of the Academy is to identify, develop and prepare Sevens rugby players with the intention of placing ambitious athletes onto the USA National teams and future USA Olympic teams. The Academy will provide athletes with top level coaching, physical preparation, and playing competition to accelerate their personal development as Sevens players in line with current USA Eagles High Performance criteria.
IGUANAS RFC
This is one of the three original sides started by Duanne Bodden as part of the Alex Alexander Memorial Trophy. The team was originally comprised of Caymanians. The Club now recruits through the CRFU Draft policy as do all clubs on the Island. The club participates in the Heineken Challenge Cup, The DART Vase, The DART Alex Alexander Memorial champiosnhip and the Hurricane tens.
CAYMAN RUGBY FOOTBAL UNION
The Cayman Rugby Union is the governing body of rugby union football in the Cayman Islands and is a full member of World Rugby (WR) and Rugby North America (RAN). Based in South Sound the Union administers and delivers Rugby programs throughout the Cayman Islands.
